I grew up in Huntsville, AL and has a BFA in Musical Theatre, from the University of Montevallo. I was also part of the Huntsville Ballet Company (1989-2003) and Images Dance Ensemble (2000-2003) and have taught in many workshops and studios through the years, including with the TwirlTasTix and Releve' Dance Studio. While I began teaching dance with TwirlTasTix & Releve, I also began my twirling career. Although starting off later than most, I competed in baton twirling for over 4 years and worked my way up to the Advanced Strut division and Intermediate Solo division, and won state and regional titles. I am not a stranger to using the internet to teach. In 2017 choregraphed an Off-Broadway Musical, "Pedro Pan" from Alabama up to NYC. And has taught several classes via Skype. I am so excited to be a part of this new adventure with you guys and can't wait to see how you will grow and change this year.

I started twirling when I was four years old and have been twirling ever since. I have had the opportunity to learn from a variety of different amazing coaches, some of whom were national and world champion twirlers during their competitive years. Throughout my twirling career I have earned countless state and national awards for strut, solo, two baton, and three baton, and show twirl, have placed in the top ten in almost every event every year at Nationals, and have been a part of a numerous national winning teams. I even won the solo portion of the National 3 part pageant, placed third overall, and did so two months after dislocating my knee at the state qualifying competition. I have even had the opportunity to meet and twirl for the Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, Josh D’Amaro while working at Disney World. My personal favorite events are two and three baton, teams and show twirl/rhythmic because I believe multiple baton is the true showcase of twirling ability and I also love the expressionism and creativity of team/show twirl/rhythmic routines and how they showcase a twirler’s personality as well as their talents.
